S. C. Weiss

S. C. Weiss is a writer and director who has worked as a photographer, videographer and reporter in Africa, Asia, the Balkans and Russia. His documentaries have been shown internationally. In 2001, he won the Frans Vinkh Prize for international journalism, awarded by the European Commission. His Pulitzer Prize-nominated stage play Butterflies of Uganda premiered in 2007 in Los Angeles and won several prestigious theatre awards. Weiss has directed more than 30 professional stage productions in the US, Russia and Africa as well as several film documentaries.
