Jan Gillett
Jan Gillett co-founded Deming-based consultancy and training firm, Process Management International, in the UK in 1990 and for another twenty years led its development in working with clients in every sector, and in every continent. He has also been a non-executive director in several organisations, helping them rethink their strategies and policies to adjust to changing circumstances.
In writing Making your work work Jan Gillett brings together more than forty years of experience in leading, managing and consulting across many different organisations. For the first twenty years he worked in large manufacturing and service companies, including seven years as Managing Director. In the late 1980s, having met quality guru Dr W. Edwards Deming, he led a quality transformation involving 2,000 people, and experienced first hand the remarkable benefits to be had when focusing the work on the customer, involving everyone in learning how it flows, and getting the results on target with minimum variation.
